Islwyn Indoor Bowls Club offers one of the finest indoor bowls facilities in Wales, featuring eight high-quality rinks and an extensive viewing area for spectators. Located within the Caerphilly County Borough, the centre provides a welcoming environment for both experienced bowlers and complete novices alike. The club operates year-round, with the indoor season running from September to April, hosting various league competitions and internal club events. Beyond the rinks, the facility boasts first-class dining options and the versatile Islwyn Room, which can comfortably seat up to 150 people for weddings and other private functions. The club is particularly proud of its thriving junior section, which has produced several Welsh capped players, and offers dedicated coaching sessions every Saturday morning. Non-members are always welcome to visit, with two rinks specifically reserved for public use. For those new to the sport, shoe and bowl hire are available alongside basic tuition to help you get started.
